Bruce Jamieson will be holding one of his fantastic multimedia presentations at St Michael’s Church on the weekend of the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Linlithgow Bridge, which will provide a whole new perspective on the battle.

“In September 1526, an attempt was made to rescue the 14 year old King James V from the clutches of the Earl of Angus. An army in support of the King’s mother, Margaret, led by the Earl of Lennox, met the opposing forces along the River Avon at Linlithgow Bridge. The result was a victory for Angus – and a death toll of 3,000 Scottish soldiers. These historic events will be dramatically portrayed in St Michael’s, Kirkgate, in a multimedia presentation featuring over 160 large-scale, specially created images, live narration, recorded voices and sound effects, with live music from the Linlithgow String Orchestra.”

The event is masterminded by local historian Bruce Jamieson,…
