To mark the 500th anniversary of the Battle of Linlithgow Bridge, 4 September 1526, Linlithgow Burgh Trust is publishing a generously illustrated souvenir book by Ron Smith, with contributions from local historians, including Jon Cooper.
The book explores why the battle happened, what took place on the field, its aftermath, and a present‑day walking route.
You can order an advance copy now for delivery in October.
The Strangers Brewing Company has created Pikestaff especially for Battle 500. It is a traditional Scottish Ale, around 4.2% ABV, with a focus on malt flavours and character, similar to a traditional 80 Shilling but lighter in colour. You can purchase a voucher for twelve 500ml bottles and exchange it for the beer at the Advent Fayre on 28 November.
