Battle500 Pikestaff Beer Pre-Order

The Strangers Brewing Company has created Pikestaff especially for Battle 500.

It will be a traditional Scottish Ale, around 4.2% ABV, with a focus on malt flavours and character, similar to a traditional 80 Shilling but lighter in colour.

You can purchase a voucher now for £20 to be sure of getting your commemorative pack of two bottles of Pikestaff and a glass chalice when they become available in May 2026.

New Tea Towel

The Linlithgow Civic Trust tea towel has been given a makeover by local artist Melanie Snedden.  The line drawings of Ron Smith have been replaced with a semi-abstract collage of well-known buildings around the Royal Burgh, generously donated by the artist.  Melanie places St Michael’s and the Palace at the top and drops down through such sights as the Avon Aqueduct, the Cross Well and the historic Four Marys and Hamilton’s Land.

Available in four colourways – black, blue, green and red – printed on white organic cotton, hemmed all round, size: 73 x 50 cm
